FarmFresh- A Web Design Case Study

Designing an accessible online farmer’s market that brings the traditional market experience to the digital space.

The Design Approach

The Challenge

Traditional farmer’s markets lack accessibility for many shoppers. Our goal was to translate the experience into a seamless digital platform that ensures everyone can browse, shop, and receive fresh products with ease.

Key Problems to Solve:

  • Accessibility barriers in online shopping

  • Making the experience feel like a real farmer’s market

  • Ensuring a smooth and intuitive checkout process

My Process & Contributions

Research & Accessibility

  • Conducted user research to understand pain points

  • Designed an inclusive navigation & checkout flow

  • Focused on clear visuals and easy product browsing

Wireframing & Prototyping

  • Created low-fidelity wireframes to map out the experience

  • Developed an interactive prototype in Figma

  • Designed high-fidelity UI screens following accessibility standards

Shopify Implementation

  • Collaborated with developers to ensure the design translated well

  • Created marketing assets in Canva to showcase the platform

The Solution

The result is an accessible, digital farmer’s market that mirrors the real-world experience while offering added convenience. The platform features:

  • A clean, intuitive interface designed for all users, including those using screen readers.

  • A seamless home delivery system, allowing users to shop from local vendors without leaving their homes.

  • Responsive design, ensuring a smooth experience across desktop and mobile devices.

This project showcases my ability to design for inclusivity, create intuitive user experiences, and collaborate across teams to bring a vision to life.
